MINUTES OF THE MUNICIPAL ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION
HELD ON
SEPTEMBER 5, 1995
A meeting of the Municipal Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors for the City
of The Colony, Texas was called to order at 6:55 p.m. on the 5th day of September, 1995, at the
Chamber of Commerce. The following persons were in attendance:
Gary McClure, President
David Stanwick, Vice President
Ronnie Fischer, Treasurer
John Dillard, Executive Vice President
Mary Watts, Executive Vice President
Lori Harlan, City Staff Liaison, Director of Economic Development
Secretary Jerry Sebastian arrived at 7:30 p.m.
1. PREPARATION FOR PRESENTATION OF GOLF COURSE FEASIBILITY STUDY
Board members listened as President McClure gave the presentation planned for the October 18
City Council meeting. Wording modifications were suggested and incorporated into the
presentation.
Board members discussed a request from Councilman Heiman to provide the feasibility study to
private sector investors for their review. Both Ms. Watts and Ms. Harlan have been approached
by individuals interested in gathering more information about the proposed course. Both have
stated an interest in financing and owning the course. A copy of the feasibility study will be
provided to these individuals prior to the September 25th work session. The purpose will be to
receive feedback from the private sector in order to better answer the questions and concerns of
the Council about project financing.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
