· Director Sveinsson briefed the members on concerns expressed by some
patrons re: children's access to videos and re: children viewing questionable
materials on the Internet workstations. The Library staff continues to urge --
parents to be aware of the materials their children borrow from the Library and to
supervise their children's use of the Internet. Director Sveinsson has spoken
with two juveniles re: their choice of sites and its impact on staff and on other
patrons.
· Director Sveinsson noted that, while circulation was up in February 199/)
compared to February 1997, patron visits had decreased. A review of the

such events occurred in February 1998. The lack of these events this year
impacted the count of persons entering the Library.
