CITY OF THE COLONY
KEEP THE COLONY BEAUTIFUL BOARD
JANUARY 26, 2012
After determining that a quorum was present, the Keep The Colony Beautiful Board of the City
of The Colony, Texas convened into a regular session which was held on Thursday, January
26, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers located in City Hall, 6800 Main Street,
The Colony, Texas, at which time the following items were addressed:
Board Members Present: Ruby Lawrence, Joe Zacha, Alan Ladd, Peggy Chenault and
Raymond Ray
Board Members Absent: Linda Van Vranken and Curtis Hatherly
Present from staff: Joe Perez, Iris Browder and Tim Miller
1.0 CALL MEETING TO ORDER
Vice Chairman Lawrence called the meeting to order at 6:30pm

No citizen input
13.0 MINUTES
3.1 Approve minutes from the November 17, 2011 meeting.
Motion to approve the minutes was made by Board Member Zacha, seconded by
Board Member Ladd. Motion carried (4-0)
4.0 DISCUSSION/CONSIDERATION
4.1 Introduction of new board member.
Vice Chairman Lawrence introduced new Board Member Raymond Ray.
4.2 Consider adoption of the Keep The Colony Beautiful Bylaws.
Mr. Miller explained to the board that the bylaws are very similar to those of the
CDC and EDC and that Council has already approved them.
Motion to accept item 4.2 as stated was made by Board Member Ladd,
seconded by Board Member Zacha. Motion carried (5-0)
4.3 Review and discuss the city's 2012 event calendar.
Mrs. Browder provided the board with a brief overview of the 2012 event
calendar that Keep The Colony Beautiful Board will be associated with. She also
explained to the board that staff will be adding events to the list and will provide
the board with updates when additions occur.
4.4 Discuss and prepare list of board initiated events and projects for 2012.
Vice Chairman Lawrence asked the board if they had anything they would like to
add to the events list for 2012.
No additional events or projects were added to the 2012 calendar.
