HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 2011-071 CITY OF THE COLONY, TEXAS RESOLUTION NO. 2011-071 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF THE COLONY, TEXAS, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 2011-057 ADOPTING THE 2011-2012 MASTER FEE SCHEDULE, BY ADDING A SET METER TRIP CHARGE FOR ILL-EQUIPPED AREA; ESTABLISHING NO FEE FOR ORGANIZATIONAL EVENT SIGN VARIANCES; PROVIDING A REPEALER CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND BY ADDING THE PHRASE "FEES MAY BE REDUCED UP TO 50% FOR NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS UPON APPROVAL OF THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE." WHEREAS, the City of The Colony established, by ordinance, to provide for all fees under the Code of Ordinances by resolution; and WHEREAS, the City adopted a Master Fee Resolution, being Resolution No. 2011-057, a resolution of the City of The Colony, Texas; and WHEREAS, after review of the fees contained therein, the City has found that certain Utility Fund and Development Services Department Zoning Fees should be reconsidered; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the Master Fee Schedule, Resolution No. 2011-057, should be amended to add the following Set meter trip charge for ill-equipped area, to provide that there is not a charge for an organizational event sign variance and a phrase allowing the City Manager or his designee to reduce fees for up to 50% for non-profit organizations; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF THE COLONY, TEXAS THAT: Section 1. Resolution No 2011-057 is hereby amended by adding the Set Meter Trip Charge for ill-equipped area fee and by amending the zoning fees as follows: "RESOLUTION NO. 2011-057 Item Existing Fee Proposed Fee Eff Date Utility Fund Revenues Set meter Trip Charge for ill-equipped area $0 $20.00 11/01/11 Sign Permits Page 1 63382 Variance Application/ Organizational Event Sign $0 11/01/11 Section 2. Resolution No 2011-057 is hereby amended by adding the phrase "Fees may be reduced up to 50% for non-profit organizations upon approval from the City Manager or his designee. Section 3. That all provisions of any resolution of the City Council of the City of The Colony, Texas, in conflict with the provisions of this resolution be, and the same are hereby, repealed, and all other provisions not in conflict with the provisions of this resolution shall remain in full force and effect. Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately from and after its passage, as the law and charter in such cases provide.
