CITY OF THE COLONY, TEXAS
RESOLUTION NO. 2011- 0
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF THE COLONY,
TEXAS, RATIFYING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2011-2012 THAT
WILL REQUIRE RAISING MORE REVENUE FROM PROPERTY TAXES
THAN PREVIOUS YEARS; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, following public notice duly posted and published in all things as required
by law, a public hearing was held, by and before the City Council of the City of The Colony, the
subject of which was the proposed budget for the City of The Colony for Fiscal Year 2011-2012;
and
WHEREAS, House Bill 3195, as adopted at the Regular Session of the 80t" Legislature
requires a separate vote on a budget that will require raising more revenue from property taxes
than previous years.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
THE COLONY, TEXAS THAT:
Section 1. The City Council hereby approves a record vote for the adoption of a budget
for Fiscal Year 2011-2012 which will raise more revenue from property taxes than previous
years.
Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately from and after its
passage, as the law and charter in such cases provides.
