FINANCIAL STATEMENTS -
Sales tax is up.
WYNNEWOOD PARK TRAIL GRANT -
Keith worked with Mathews Southwest and was able to get a grant for $200, 000 to apply towards the
proposed trail. The first phase of the trail will be a loop around the peninsula; decomposed granite will be
used and there may be some low water crossings. An agreement will be made between Mathews/Southwest
and the city, then the city will contract with Texas Parks & Wildlife; the city willpay the invoices and be
reimbursed by Texas Parks & Wildlife. This new trail will eventually connect to the current concrete trail.
BILL ALLEN MEMORIAL PARK DISC GOLF TOURNAMENT RECAP -
The tournament was a success. We received many good comments and a lot of comments on hole #11 as
brush still needs to be cleared from this area. Buck and Chase did a great job on the design of the new
course. The park has been closed because of the recent heavy rains; there are significant erosion problems.
TRAIL RANGER WORK DAY SEPT. 18TH -
The work day is scheduled from 8:00a. in. - 11: 00a in. We are planning to clean up the bag walls, but there
maybe more work as a result of the recent heavy rains. We will have to purchase more decomposed granite
to do repairs along the trail. There was damage along the trail at Scout Park - the water came up over the
dam and overflowed on each side, the area at the south end of the driving range overflowed its banks but the
area below the driving range held up well and that's because of the vegetation that grew back.
PARK LOOP TRAIL ALLEY CROSSING -
We are waiting on CoServe to set the electric meter that will run the irrigation controller, and then we will be
able to do the landscaping.
LIONS CLUB PARK -
The new playground equipment will be installed next week.
CAB / CDC COMMITTEE UPDATES -

Event Coordinator, is the new staff liaison to the CAB Board.
