HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 134v ORDINANCE NO. ox AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF THE COLONY, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF EXTENDED HOURS FOR THE SALE, OFFER TO SELL, AND DELIVERY OF BEER BY A HOLDER OF A RETAIL DEALER'S ON -PREMISE LATE HOURS LICENSE OR FOR THE SALE OF MIXED BEVERAGES AND THE OFFER TO SELL BY A HOLDER OF MIXED BEVERAGES LATE HOURS PERMIT OR FOR THE SALE OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES SOLD UNDER A WINE AND BEER RETAILER'S PERMIT OR A WINE AND BEER RETAILER'S OFF -PREMISE PERMIT; PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION OF SALE HOURS TO BETWEEN MIDNIGHT AND 2:00 A.M. SPECIFIC DAYS AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF THE COLONY, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That pursuant to Sections 105.03, 105.04, and 105.05 of the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Code, the City Council is authorized to adopt extended hours by ordinance. SECTION 2. That for the sale, offer to sell, and delivery of beer by a holder of a retail dealer's on -premise late hours license, for the sale and delivery of alcoholic beverages sold under a wine and beer retailer's permit or a wine and beer retailer's off - premise permit, and for the sale of mixed beverages and the offer to sell them by a holder of a mixed beverages late hours permit, the hours are hereby extended to include the hours between midnight and 2:00 A.M. Friday, Saturday, Sunday and January 1 (New Year's Day) regardless of the day on which it falls. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effective immediately from and after its passage and the publication of the caption as the law and charter in such cases provide.
