HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 2010-061CITY OF THE COLONY, TEXAS RESOLUTION NO. 2010 - 061 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF THE COLONY, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXCEED THE $50,000 AGGREGATE EXPENDITURE THRESHOLD, UP TO AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $100,000, IN OBTAINING VARIOUS EXCAVATION, HAULING, AND REPAIR/ REMOVAL SERVICES FROM DOMENE COMPANY FOR FISCAL YEAR 2009/2010 AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, Domene Company has provided a diverse array of services to various city departments; and WHEREAS, Domene Company often offers the best value to the community and performs needed services in a very high quality manner; and WHEREAS, multiple City departments would prefer the ability to utilize the services offered by Domene Company as needed, when informal bids indicate the company offers the best value. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF THE COLONY, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to exceed the $50,000 limit prescribed by the purchasing procedures for aggregate procurements, up to an amount not to exceed $100,000 for Domene Company to various City departments for fiscal year 2009/2010. SECTION 2. This Resolution shall become effective from and after its date of passage in accordance with law.
