CITY OF THE COLONY
CODE ENFORCEMENT ADVISORY BOARD
MARCH 25, 2010
After determining that a quorum was present, the Code Enforcement Advisory Board
of the City of The Colony, Texas convened into a regular session which was held on
Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers located in City
Hall, 6800 Main Street, The Colony, Texas, at which time the following items were
addressed:
Board Members Present: Casey Truskunas, Chairman; Lloyd Martin, Vice -
Chairman; Richard Kuether; Diane Ling; Linda Van Vranken and Joe Zacha.
Board Members Absent: Ruby Lawrence.
Present from Staff. Iris Browder, Development Services Manager and Jennifer
White, Recording Secretary.
1.0 1 CALL MEETING TO ORDER
Chairman Truskunas called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm.
2.0 CITIZEN INPUT
No citizen input.
3.0 1 MINUTES
3.1 Consider approval of the minutes of the February 25, 2010 meeting.
Board Member Kuether moved to approve the minutes of the February 25, 2010
meeting as written. It was seconded by Board Member Martin and the motion carried
unanimously (6-0).
4.0 CONSIDERATION
4.1 Review, discuss and consider agenda preparation for the Code Enforcement
Advisory Board. (Browder)
Iris Browder, Development Services Manager, explained the process on what would
be required in order to add an item to the agenda.
Board Member Zacha asked why staff is asking for 2 (two) weeks of agenda
preparation before a meeting. Ms. Browder explained that this would give staff
enough time to prepare the packets for the meetings.

Board Member Ling moved to approve item number 4.1. It was seconded by Board
Member Martin and motion carried unanimously (6-0).
4.2 Receive a presentation from staff regarding Code Enforcement Activity for
the last two fiscal years. (Browder)
Ms. Browder presented the Board with an activity report from Code Enforcement.
Board Member Zacha asked how many write ups a day where done by the Code
Enforcement Officer's. Ms. Browder answered approximately 20 (twenty) per day.
All Board Members were pleased with the presentation that was given by staff.
