HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 2010-015 CITY OF THE COLONY, TEXAS RESOLUTION NO. 2010-015 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF THE COLONY, TEXAS, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 09-068, THE MASTER FEE SCHEDULE, BY AMENDING THE RENTAL PROPERTY RENTAL INSPECTION FEE FOR MULTI-FAMILY UNITS; PROVIDING A REPEALING CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of The Colony, Texas, adopted a Master Fee Schedule for Fiscal Year 2009-2010, with the approval of Resolution No. 09-068, which was passed and approved by the City Council of the City of The Colony on September 21, 2010; and WHEREAS, the City desires to amend the Master Fee Schedule by amending the Development Services Department's fee for rental property rental inspection fee for multi-family units; and WHEREAS, the City Council has discussed and considered such revisions and has determined that it is in the best interest of the City to amend the current Master Fee Schedule by amending the fee charged for the rental property rental inspection of multi-family units. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF THE COLONY, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. That Resolution No. 09-068, as amended, be, and the same is hereby amended on the effective date of this Resolution, by amending the rental property rental inspection per unit fee for multi-family units, which shall read as follows: First Inspection = $5.00 Follow-up re-Inspection = no fees Rental Inspection - per unit Inspected Third Inspection = $100.00 (Multi-Family) Fourth Inspection = $250.00 Fifth and subsequent re-inspections = $500.00 SECTION 2. That all provisions of any Resolution of the City Council of the City of The Colony, Texas, in conflict with the provisions of this Resolution, be, and the same are hereby repealed, and all other provisions not in conflict with the provisions of this Resolution shall remain in full force and effect. SECTION 3. This Resolution shall become effective from and after its date of passage in accordance with law.
