CITY OF THE COLONY, TEXAS
RESOLUTION NO. 09-011
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
THE COLONY, TEXAS APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE
WASTEWATER MASTER PLAN AUSTIN RANCH AMEND-
MENT, WHICH IS ATTACHED HERETO AND INCORPORATED
HEREIN AS EXHIBIT "A"; PROVIDING A REPEALER CLAUSE;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on or about January 14, 2008, the City contracted with Freese and
Nichols, Inc. to prepare a Wastewater Master Plan Austin Ranch Amendment for the City
of The Colony; and
WHEREAS, on or about August 21, 2008, Freese and Nichols prepared a Report
and Figure 5.1 (the "Revised Wastewater Capital Improvements Plan") providing for a
Citywide Wastewater Master Plan Austin Ranch Amendment and associated modeling of
the wastewater system; and
WHEREAS, staff has reviewed the August 2008 Report and Figure 5.1 and
recommends to City Council that the same be adopted as the City's Wastewater Master
Plan and Modeling of the Wastewater System; and
WHEREAS, after consideration and review, the City Council finds that the
Wastewater Master Plan Austin Ranch Amendment and Modeling of the Wastewater
System, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit "A," be approved
and adopted as the City's Wastewater Master Plan.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF THE COLONY, TEXAS;
SECTION 1. That the Wastewater Master Plan Austin Ranch Amendment and
Modeling of the Wastewater System, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein as
Exhibit "A," be, and the same is, hereby approved and adopted as the City's Wastewater
Master Plan as presented in the August 2008 Report and Figure 5.1 (the Revised
Wastewater Capital Improvements Plan) prepared by Freese and Nichols, Inc.
SECTION 2. That all provisions of any resolution of the City Council of the City
of The Colony in conflict with the provisions of the resolution be, and the same are
hereby, repealed, and all other provisions not in conflict with the provisions of the
resolution shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately from and after
its passage, as the law and charter in such cases provide.
