HomeMy WebLinkAbout12/12/06 P&Z MINUTES CITY OF THE COLONY PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION December 12, 2006 After determining that a quorum was present, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of The Colony, Texas convened into regular session which was held on December 12, 2006 at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers located in City Hall, 6800 Main Street, The Colony, Texas, at which time the following items were addressed: All Commissioners present. /1.0 I CALL REGULAR SESSION TO ORDER 12.0 I DISPOSITION OF MINUTES 2.1 Consider approval of the minutes of the November 14,2006 Regular Session. Commissioner Villarreal moved to approve the minutes. Seconded by Commissioner Morrison. Motion carried (7-0) /3.0 3.1 I CONSENT AGENDA Consider approval of a Preliminary Plat of Lots 1-5 Block A Oak Wood Village West being 20.94 acres out of the RRR & C.RR Survey, Abstract No. 173 and the J.R Shipps survey, Abstract 1227 and the Thomas Wilson Survey, Abstract No. 1352. The property is located at the northeast corner of Hwy 121 and Blair Oaks Road and the southeast corner of Blair Oaks Road and Memorial Drive. (PP06-0014, Oak Wood Village West). 3.2 Consider approval of a Conveyance Plat of Lot 1 Block A of East Oak Wood Village being 12.68 acres out of the RRR & C.RR Survey, Abstract No. 173. The property is generally located north ofHwy 121 and south of Memorial Drive approximately 1,100 feet east of the Blair Oaks Road and Memorial Drive intersection. (CV06-0001, Oak Wood Village East). Commissioner Hames moved to approve item 3.1 and 3.2 as presented by staff. Seconded by Commissioner Morrison. Motion carried (7-0) 3.3 Consider denial of a Preliminary Plat of Lot 1 Block A Gateway Shops Addition being a 5.30 acre tract located in the Amos Singleton Survey, Abstract No. 1138. The site is generally located at the northwest corner of Market Street and Hwy 121. (PP06-0012, Gateway Shops Addition). 3.4 Consider denial of a site plan for Gateway Shops at The Colony being a 5.30 acre tract located in the Amos Singleton Survey, Abstract No. 1138. The site is generally located at the northwest corner of Market Street and Hwy 121 (SP06- 0013, Gateway Shops at The Colony). Planning and Zoning Commission December 12, 2006 Page 2 of2 3.5 Consider denial of Preliminary Plat for Lots 1-3, Block A being 4.064 acre tract located in the S.E. Hayes Survey, Abstract 648. The property is generally located on the west side ofFM 423 just south of the Trinity Medical Center site. (PP06-0008, Val Place Preliminary Plat). Commissioner Milsak moved to approve denial of items 3.3, 3.4, and 3.5 as presented by staff. Seconded by Commissioner Barrett.
