DISCUSSION OF mE STRATEGIC PLAN - The goal of tonight's meeting was to complete the 4B Strategic Plan. The Board was given worksheets that list the goals and objectives, and during this meeting the board discussed how they would achieve these goals. Goal- Develop planning strategies for future projects - Objective - Complete Strategic Plan Objective - Update Community Development Master Plan and Parks Master Plan Goal- Support and promote economic growth - Objective - Seek additional public/private partnerships Objective - Identify and promote tourism related projects Goal- Implement Trail Master Plan - Objective - Design and construct Phase I of Shoreline Trail Goal- Improve communications with public and Council- Objective - Complete website and update weekly Objective - Conduct small events in neighborhood parks biannually Objective - Information updates in various media sources quarterly Objective - Conduct public hearings and joint work sessions annually Goal - Improve quality and appearance of parks and public spaces - Objective - Implement Landscape Plan Objective - Install new playgrounds and amenities Objective - Develop public art program Pam asked the Board to consider being a part of a committee to help ensure that the projects get completed. We will also seek other community members to assist us, but she would like the 4B Board members to take the lead. A worksheet for each goal is attached that shows the plan to achieve these goals.
