MINUTES
CITY OF THE COLONY
PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
September 26, 2006
After determining that a quorum is present, the Planning and Zoning Commission of
the City of The Colony, Texas will convene into work session which will be held on
September 26, 2006 at 6:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers located in City Hall,
6800 Main Street, The Colony, Texas, at which time the following items will be
addressed:
All commissioners were present.

W2.1 Receive a report and hold a discussion on consent agenda items

I DISPOSITION OF MINUTES
Consider approval of the minutes of the September 12,2006 Regular Session.
Commissioner Morrison moved to approve the minutes. Seconded by
Commissioner Barrett.
Motion carried (6-0) Commissioner Milsak abstained.
13.0 I CONSENT AGENDA
3.1 Consider approval of a Preliminary Plat for Balmerino at Tribute. The 98.0822-
acre tract is located in the northwest portion of the city west of Main Street and
south of future Lebanon Road (PP06-0013, Balmerino at Tribute, Preliminary
Plat).
Commissioner Villareal moved to approve item 3.1. Seconded by
Commissioner Hames.
Motion carried (7-0).

Consider approval of a Final Plat for The Glen at Tribute. The 50.5197 -acre
tract is located in the northwest portion of the city west of Main Street and south
of future Lebanon Road (FP06-0011, The Glen at Tribute, Phase 1, Final Plat).
Commissioner Hubbard moved to approve item 3.2. Seconded by
Commissioner Milsak.
Motion carried (7-0).

I PUBLIC HEARING
4.1 Conduct a public hearing, discuss and consider making a recommendation to
the City Council on an Ordinance regarding an amendment to the Gateway
Overlay District (SI06-0030, Gateway Overlay District).
Don Blackwood, 5200 Paige Road, The Colony, asked that developers be
given more time to review the document and give staff feedback.
Greg Hamill, 2100 McKinney Ave, Dallas, in favor of this type of revision
but would like to have more time to review the document and give staff
some input.
Commissioner Hubbard moved to table the item until the October 24th
meeting so the public (and various developers) can provide comments
about the regulations. Seconded by Commissioner Villarreal.
Motion carried (5-2, Commissioners Hames and Barrett opposed).
Meeting was adjourned at 8:30 pm.
