CITY OF THE COLONY
MINUTES OF THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
Tuesday, July 11, 2006

After determining that a quorum was present, the Planning and Zoning Commission
of the City of The Colony, Texas convened into Work Session which was held on
July 11, 2006 at 6:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers located at City Hall, 6800
Main Street, The Colony, Texas, at which time the following items were addressed:
PRESENT: Brian Wade, Mike Barrett, Debbie Morrison, Karen Hames, and
Marlene Milsak
ABSENT: DeVille Hubbard
One vacancy on the Commission.

July 11, 2006 at 6:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers located at City Hall, 6800
Main Street, The Colony, Texas, at which time the following items were addressed:

2.1 Consider approval of the minutes of the June 13,2006 Regular Session
Commissioner Milsak moved to approve the minutes. Seconded by
Commissioner Barrett.

I CONSENT AGENDA
Consider approval of a Preliminary Plat for The Glen at Tribute. The 50.5197-
acre tract is located in the northwest portion of the city west of Main Street and
north of future Lebanon Road (PP06-0005, The Glen at Tribute Preliminary
Plat).
Consider approval of a Preliminary Plat for Balmerino at Tribute Phase 1. The
33.0086-acre tract is located in the northwest portion of the city west of Main
Street and north of future Lebanon Road (PP06-0004, Balmerino at Tribute
Preliminary Plat).
Consider approval of a Preliminary Plat for The Gardens at Tribute Phase 1. The
25.7929-acre tract is located in the northwest portion of the city west of Main
Street and north of future Lebanon Road (PP06-0007, The Gardens at Tribute
Preliminary Plat).

Commissioner Morrison moved to approve the consent agenda. Seconded
by Commissioner Hames.
Motion carried 6-0

I PUBLIC HEARING
Conduct a public hearing and consider making a recommendation to the City
Council on a Specific Use Permit for a beer and wine beverage store for Market
at the Square. The proposed business is located at the southwest comer of
Windhaven Parkway and Saintsbury Drive in the Austin Ranch Town Square
(SUP06-0002, Market at the Square Specific Use Permit)
Ms. Odell presented a staff report regarding making a recommendation to
the City Council regarding a Specific Use Permit for a beer and wine
beverage store for Market at the Square. The proposed business is located
at the southwest corner of Windhaven Parkway and Saintsbury Drive in the
Austin Ranch Town Square
Commissioner Barrett asked if what the hours of operation would be.
Ms. Odell stated she did not have that information. She believes it will be
controlled by the T ABC.
No one present to speak in favor or against this item.

Commissioner Barrett moved to approve the Specific Use Permit. Seconded
by Commissioner Hames.
Motion carried 6-0
