Stewart's Creek Park.
The Lakeside Community Theater continues its production of "Laundry and Bourbon".
4. Discussion of scenarios for mural on fence by the Lakeside Arts Center
Chair Whitmore said he was contacted by the Lakeside Arts Fund about tearing down
fence and building a wall in its place for a mural. It is not clear who the fence belongs to.
Member Lux noted that a mural would be hard to maintain, that it would need to be
properly sealed.

Discussion of use of Hotel Occupancy Tax to fund grants
The board discussed whether or not there would be further discussion of a civic center by
the City Council - perhaps during the upcoming retreat (6119). If so, if such a building
would be dedicated to the arts or be a multi-use facility, which might make it more
appealing to the city as a whole.
Chair Whitmore discussed Irving's tax-funded system.
I
Member Shailer asked about the Cultural Arts Board's possible involvement with the
Greater Denton Arts Council and whether or not CAB should be involved and/or receive
funds.
6. Discussion about future meeting with City Council
Members will attempt to attend the City council retreat on June 19th.
7. Election of Cultural Arts Board Vice-Chair
Member Shailer nominated Member Lux.
Member Long-Manuel seconded the nomination.
Member Lux unanimously voted in as the new Vice-Chair of the Cultural Arts Board.
The meeting adjourned at 9:55 a.m.
