MINUTES OF THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
Tuesday, June 13,2006

After determining that a quorum was present, the Planning and Zoning Commission
of the City of The Colony, Texas convened into Regular Session which was held on
June 13, 2006 at 6:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers located at City Hall, 6800
Main Street, The Colony, Texas, at which time the following items were addressed:
PRESENT: Brian Wade, Mike Barrett, Debbie Morrison, Karen Hames, and
Marlene Milsak
ABSENT: DeVille Hubbard
One vacancy on the Commission.
11.0 I CALL MEETING TO ORDER
12.0 I DISPOSITION OF MINUTES
2.1 Consider approval of the May 23,2006 regular session.

Commissioner Hames moved to approve the minutes. Seconded by
Commissioner Milsak.
Motion carried 6-0
13.0 1 REGULAR AGENDA
3.1 Hold a public hearing and consider making a recommendation to the City Council
regarding an amendment to the Planned Development 8 zoning district concerning
the placement of garages (Z06-0007, PD-8 Amendment, Stewart's Peninsula, Non-
Compliant Lots).
Ms. Odell presented a staff report regarding making a recommendation to the
City Council regarding an amendment to the Planned Development 8 zoning
district concerning the placement of garages
Commissioner Milsak asked the width and length of the garages compared to
the house.
Ms. Odell stated that the size would be specific to the lot.
Commissioner Barrett asked if there was a limit to the number of garages a
house can have.
Ms. Odell stated that it is dictated by the zoning.

No one was present to speak in favor or opposition.
Commissioner Morrison moved to approve the amendment with staff
recommendations. Seconded by Commissioner Barrett.
