3.
DISCUSSION OF TRAILS -
Sam gave the board a worksheet that breaks down the estimated costs to build the trails. The costs are
based on concrete at $5.00 per sq. ft.
Gas Easement - Bob Stoffels from Dunkin Sims & Stoffels, has received written consent from The
Legends to proceed and now he is trying to get a consent letter from Atmos Energy, and then we can start
the design. The Legends HOA has their annual meeting in January and at that time they will present this
project to their membership for approval and funding of the project. The Legends HOA is paying for a 6
ft. wide trail and CDC will add on an additional 2ft. or 4 ft. We need to inform the architect ifwe are
going to add 2ft. or 4ft. to the trail before the construction documents are completed. We hope to start
construction in the Spring.
The Shoreline Trail will be a soft-surface trail and be 8ft. wide.
423 - TX DOT will do the survey. Where there is sidewalk now, TX DOT will replace it with 4 ft. of new
sidewalk. There was concern expressed from a board member as to the board having the funds available
to pay for the trail along 423 when it's time to build it. Pam said there are various ways we can pay for
it, but we probably won't be ready to do this portion of the trail system for a couple of years. We don't
know exactly when the widening of 423 will begin and if that project will start on the north or south end
of 423.
4. CONSIDERATION OF APPROVAL OF CHANGING THE MONTHLY MEETING DATES
Because Thanksgiving and Christmas, and the Volunteer Banquet, conflict with the regular meeting dates
in November and December, Pam asked the board if they would change their monthly meeting date from
the third Thursday of the month to the second Thursday of the month. This would become effective at the
December meeting.
Motion to approve the changing of the monthly meeting date from the third Thursday of the month to the
second Thursday of the month - Walden; Second - Briggs; motion carried.
