PRESENTATION AND DISCUSSION OF 2005/2006 BUDGET- Some line items were reduced so we could use money in other areas, but overall the budget should stay about the same as last year's budget, unless Council asks us to make more reductions. Pam has been iriformed that Council may callfor an election to reallocate the 4B & 4A sales tax. This would mean that ifpassed by the voters, 4B & 4A would only receive 1/8 of the sales tax collected by the city. The additional funds the city would receive from the increase in their portion of the sales tax would be applied towards crime prevention. This could affect our budget by $200,000 -$250,000. 6. UPDATE FROM DIRECTOR / ASST. DIRECTOR FINANCIAL STATEMENTS- The financial statement shows payments to Anne Jenkins - the board wants to know who she is and what service she provided that they paid her for; there was no explanation in the statements. TRAIL LIGHTS - Bids open on June 2Sh. We may schedule a meeting in the first week of July to approve a bid so we can take this to Council as soon as possible. SALES TAX TRAINING- I There is a Sales Tax Training Seminar on August I9'h in Irving. You are not required to attend, but it would be beneficial if you could attend. REALLOCATION OF SALES TAX- The board would like to request a work session with Council to discuss this issue. They want to have the meeting in the Senior Center and have a power point presentation prepared to review their current obligations, future projects and discuss the impact a reallocation will have on their current and future projects. The board also wants to know when the election for this would be. JULY 4TH_ The July 4th events will take place on Saturday, July 2nd this year. All the events, with the exception of the parade, will take place at Stewart Creek Park.
