Eugene 1 st., Cheryl 2nd Agenda Item IV New Business 1. Harry Persaud discussed the number of days allowed for abatement of weeds and grass. Discussed that state allows 7 calendar days and The Colony allows 10 business days. A motion was made to change to 10 calendar days. Lynda 1 st and Cheryl 2nd 2. Iris Browder discussed streamlining Sec. 10-83 thru 10-85 of the ordinances. Joe Gorfida, the City attorney clarified some information regarding these ordinances. Harry Persaud discussed adding 25% instead of20% to outstanding invoices before it is sent to the collection agency. A motion was made to streamline the ordinance. Barb 1 st and Cheryl 2nd. The second motion to increase the interest from 20% to 25% on items going to collection was passed Rita 1 st and Lynda 2nd. 3. Harry Persaud discussed ordinance regarding fence materials. Joe Gorfida clarified some areas concerning the ordinance. A motion was made to leave the amendments to the fence ordinance as is. Eugene 1 st and Cheryl 2nd 4. Iris Browder discussed the Junk Vehicle ordinance. Joe Gorfida explained the state law regarding junk vehicles and how it affects our city. There was a motion to accept the attorneys' recommendations and accept the junked vehicle amendment. Barbara 1 st and Rita 2nd. Agenda Item V Unfinished Business 1. Harry Persaud discussed Single Family residential inspections of rental property. Stated that it was in the discussion stage with the Attorney. 2. 3. Harry Persaud explained that several ordinances would be proposed at City Council for possible changes. 4. Bill Longo asked for a report on the lien progress. 5. Iris Browder announced the retirement of Ron Rais and the new hire of Beverly Sligar. Agenda Item VII Adjournment Motion to adjourn was made. Eugene 1 st and Rita 2nd.
