AQUATIC PARK FEE PROPOSALS PUBLIC SWIM ENTRANCE I· Suggested Increase: $.50 for Residents & $1.00 for Non-Residents I Last Increase: 1992 I Estimated Income Increase: $14,000 One of our key missions is providing a relaxed, yet safe, aquatic environment for family leisure throughout the summer. We have tried to keep this activity at a reasonable cost so that all families can afford to participate. However, our last increase was in 1992. With the addition of shade structures, lounge chairs, the Splash Zone and volleyball, we are providing far more services now. Our operational expenses have outstripped our admission income. This price increase will allow that activity to more easily break even on expenses. Guest Type Resident Non-Resident Current Proposed Current Proposed Age 6 & under $.50 $1.00 $1.00 $2.00 Age 7 & older $1.50 $2.00 $2.00 $3.00 See Attachment A- "Survey of area pool prices for Public Swim" OPTION Increase: $1.00 for Residents & $1.50 for Non-Residents (Estimated Income Increase rises to $21,000) Guest Type Resident Non-Resident Current Proposed Current Proposed Age 6 & under $.50 $1.50 $1.00 $2.50 Age 7 & older $1.50 $2.50 $2.00 $3.50 This option gives us 50% higher revenue, but we will definitely hear from some of our guests when the summer catalogue comes out (mid-April). Our passes for city residents (which have undersold through the past years) should pick up in sales with the increased daily gate admission. AQUATIC PARK FEE PROPOSALS LESSONS I Last Increase: 2002 Suggested Increase: $5 per class ¡ I Estimated Income Increase: $3,500 Our classes are filling with ease and our guests seem extremely happy with our services. At this point, we could increase our class charge to raise more revenue for the facility. This will help offset overall price increases in facility operations. See Attachment B- "Survey of area prices for Lessons" RENTALS , Last Increase: 1999 Suggested Increase: $5/hour I I Estimated Income Increa"se: $1,600 We receive no complaints on our pricing from potential renters. After surveying area activities, we are sure that we can raise more income from this revenue source with a small increase ($.05 to $.10 per guest). This will help us keep up with the growing costs of operations. See Attachment C- "Survey of area facilities for rental rates" Current prices for a small* party of 50 people or less. Current Proposed Single Pool $65/hr $70/hr Two Pools $125/hr $130/hr Entire Park $180/hr $185/hr Price increases proportionally with size of party. ($20 per extra 50 guests)
