RESOLUTION NO. 04-~
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF THE
COLONY, TEXAS, APPROVING THE CHANGE ORDER FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF THE
COLONY AND TISEO PAVING COMPANY FOR ADDITIONAL WATER
IMPROVEMENTS, SEWER LATERALS, STORM DRAINAGE INLETS,
AND CORRECTIONS TO THE QUANTITY OF TEMPORARY ASPHALT
PAVEMENT, WHICH IS ATTACHED HERETO AND INCORPORATED
HEREIN AS EXHIBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE THE CONTRACT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City and Consultant have entered into an agreement such that the
Consultant is to provide the following services: ADDITIONAL WATER IMPROVEMENTS,
SEWER LATERALS, STORM DRAINAGE INLETS, AND CORRECTIONS TO THE
QUANTITY OF TEMPORARY ASPHALT PAVEMENT; and
WHEREAS, the City has determined that it is in the best interest of the City to enter into
the Contract Change Order with TISEO PAVING COMPANY, which is attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference as Exhibit "A," under the terms and conditions provided
therein.
WHEREAS, with this Change Order the City of The Colony is agreeing to pay a sum not
to exceed $63,775.00 for such work.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
THE COLONY, TEXAS THAT:
Section 1. The Change Order, which is attached and incorporated hereto as Exhibit "A",
having been reviewed by the City Council of the City of The Colony, Texas, and found to be
acceptable and in the best interest of the City and its citizens, be, and the same is hereby, in all
things approved, and the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the Agreement on behalf of
the City of The Colony, Texas.
Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its adoption
and it is so resolved.

Change Order No.2 To The Contract Dated December 1. 2003 between the City of The Colonv (Owner) and Tiseo
Paving Company (Contractor) for South Colony Boulevard - Paving & Drainage Improvements.
Pursuant to the provisions of Item 1.3 7 of the Supplementary Conditions of the Contract, this Change Order
Agreement, when fully executed, shall constitute the authority to change the work of the project as follows, including
quantities and total dollars:

and specifications) due to the condition of the existing laterals, The price includes pavement removal,

Construction
The following quantity adjustments and New Pay Item reflect paving changes made at the intersections of Blair
Oaks, Branch Hollow, and Alta Oaks. These changes were made to reduce the time required for construction
at these intersections without affecting the quality or performance of the pavement,

The following New Pay Item reflects work performed by the contractor associated with the removal and
replacement of a broken valve, The valve failed while being operated by City crews in an effort to isolate part
of the water system. The failure occured after paving at the Blair Oaks intersection was complete. Therefore,
the price shown below includes removal of new pavement, replacement of the valve and associated piping, and
construction of new concrete pavement,
