AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF THE COLONY, TEXAS,
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT
WITH COMMUNITY WASTE DISPOSAL FOR A SIX MONTH
EXTENSION TO THE EXISTING RECYCLING CONTRACT; ATTACHING
THE APPROVED FORM OF CONTRACT AS EXHIBIT "A"; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF THE COLONY,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager of the City of The Colony, Texas is hereby authorized
to execute on behalf of the City a contract with Community Waste Disposal for a six-month
extension to the existing recycling contract. The approved form of contract is attached hereto as
Exhibit "A", and made a part hereof for such purposes.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage bythe
City Council of the City of The Colony, Texas.

The undersigned hereby agree to extend the current contract between the City of the
Colony, Texas and Community Waste Disposal, L.P.; hereinafter called (the "Parties"),
for a period of 180 days. The 180-day extension will mn from April 1, 2003 to September
30, 2003, (the "extended period"). The Parties agree that all other terms and conditions of
the current contract will remain the same during the extended period.
