AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE DESIGNATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM
RESIDENTIAL TO COMMERCIAL
WHEREAS, the landowners of two tracts, such tracts
being described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated
herein by reference, Tract One containing 5.056 acres of land
more or less, and Tract Two containing 10.813 acres of land
more or less, both tracts being property located in The City of
The Colony, Texas, having duly requested through zoning request
changes procedures to change the zoning designation of such
property from residential to commercial;
WHEREAS, notice of a public hearing to consider such
zoning change was given in accordance with and in compliance'with
the laws of this state, particularly Article 1011d, Vernon's
Annotated Civil Statutes, and notices in accordance with Article
101le, Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes, was given;
WHEREAS, a public hearing to consider the change of
the zoning designation of the land described in Exhibit "A" attached
hereto was held at the City Hall of The City of The Colony, on
March 23, 1978 at 7:30 p.m. and such public hearing was con-
ducted in accordance with and in compliance with law;
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission of The
City of The Colony has recommended to the City Council of The
City of The Colony that such zoning designation be changed in
accordance with the request;
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the City Council of The
City of The Colony, Texas, that such change is in the interest
of the safety, welfare, morals, and in the general interest of
the citizens of The Colony, Texas;
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF THE
COLONY, TEXAS
1. That the zoning designation of the land described
in Exhibit "A" attached hereto be changed from residential to
commercial.
2. That this change is a change to the temporary
zoning ordinance which is in effect in The City of The Colony,
Texas.

1) Being a tract of land situated in the B.B.B. & C.R.R. Co. Survey, Abstract
No. 173, Denton County, Texas and also being; in the City of The Colony,
Texas and more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the intersection of the south line of Colony Blvd. and the
west line of Paige Road;

No. 194, Denton County, Texas and being located in the City of The Colony,
Texas and being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the point of Intersection of the north line of Colony Blvd.
and the west line of Paige Road;
THENCE N 89° 43' 40" W, 249.01 along said north line;
THENCE along said north line in a westerly direction with a curve to the
left, said curve having a central angle of 20 18'2.2" and a radius of
1250.00 feet for an arc distance of 223.85 feet;
THENCE N 27° 09' 25" W, 9.40 feet;
THENCE in a northerly direction with a curve to the right, siad curve having
a central angle of 26 51' 30" and a radius of 49.00 feet for an arc
distance of 53.06 feet;
THENCE N 00' 17' 55" W, 630.96 feet;
THENCE in a northeasterly direction with a curve to the right, said curve
having a central angle of 90 00' 00" and a radius of 40.00 feet for
an arc distance of 62.83 feet;
THENCE N 89' 42' 05" E, 660.00 feet to said west line of Paige Road;
THENCE S 00° 17'55" E, 789.60 feet along said west line to the Place of
Beginning and containing 10.813 acres of land.
