HomeMy WebLinkAbout06/08/04 P&ZPlanning and Zoning Commission June 8, 2004 MINUTES OF THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION MEETING HELD ON JUNE 8, 2004 The Regular Session of the Planning and Zonin.[g Commission of the City of The Colony, Texas was called to order at 6:30 p.m. on the 8u. day of June, 2004 at City Hall with the following members present: Bill Jamme, Chairman Mike Barrett Deville Hubbard Brian Wade Kirk Mikulec Absent: Marlene Milsak - Personal Bill Harrison - Business Staff.' Harry Persaud, Director of Development Services Chris Spencer, Planner James Hanvey, Staff Engineer Sandy Vondersaar, Administrative Assistant With five (5) P & Z members present, a quorum was established and the following items were addressed: 2.0 DISPOSITION OF MINUTES 2.1 Approval and/or correction of Planning and Zoning Commission Minutes for the meeting held on May 25, 2004. Motion to approve the minutes of the meeting held on May 25, 2004, Commissioner Mikulee; second, Commissioner Barrett. Motion carried 5-0. 3.0 CITIZEN INPUT None -1- Planning and Zoning Commission June 8, 2004 4.0 PUBLIC HEARING 4.1 Hold a public hearing and consider a request for approval of a replat of Lots 1 R1 and 1R2, Block 1, The Spotless Addition, being a 2.677 acre tract situated in the T. Wilson Survey, Abstract NO. 1352, located West of Main Street (F.M. 423), South of Ridgepointe Drive in the City of The Colony, Denton County, Texas (2004-RP003) Chairman Jamme opened the public hearing at 6:31 p.m. Mr. Spencer presented the staff report regarding a request for approval of a replat of Lots 1R1 and 1R2, Block 1, The Spotless Addition located west o£Main Street and south of Ridgepointe Drive. Mr. Eric Willis of Pyramid Building Systems, L.P., 409 West Vickery Boulevard., Fort Worth, Texas 76104 and Duan¢ Joyner, Landscape Architect, were present to answer questions. Chairman Jamm¢ closed the public hearing at 6:40 p.m. Staff recommends approval with three (3) stipulations. A motion to recommend approval ora replat of Lots 1R1 and 1R2, Block 1, The Spotless Addition, being a 2.677 acre tract situated in the T. Wilson Survey, Abstract NO. 1352, located West of Main Street (F.M. 423), South of Ridgepointe Drive in the City of The Colony, Denton County, Texas (2004-RP003) with three (3) staff stipulations, Commlssioner Wade; second, Commissioner Hubbard. Motion carried 4-0 with 1 abstention from Chairman Jamme. 5.0 ITEMS FOR CONSIDERATION 5.1 Consider approval of a site plan for lots 1R1 and 1R2, Block 1 of the Spotless Addition, and providing for a muffler shop on Lot 1RI. The subject tract is situated in the T.Wilson Survey, Abstract NO. 1352, located west of Main Street (F.M. 423), south of Ridgepointe Drive, in the City of The Colony, Denton County, Texas (2004-SP005) Mr. Spencer presented the staffrcport regarding approval o£a site plan for Lots 1R1 and 1R2, Block 1 of the Spotless Addition located west of Main Street and south of Ridgepointe Drive. Mr. Eric Willis of Pyramid Building Systems, L.P., 409 West Vickery Boulevard., Fort Worth, Texas 76104 and Duane Joyner, Landscape Architect, were present to answer questions. -2- Planning and Zoning Commission June 8, 2004 Staffrecommends approval with five (5) stipulations. Chairman Jamme requested an additional stipulation be added stating that the Certificate of Occupancy must be issued for both lots simultaneously. A motion to recommend approval of a site plan for lots 1R1 and 1R2, Block 1 of the Spotless Addition, and providing for a muffler shop on Lot 1R1. The subject tract is situated in the T.Wilson Survey, Abstract NO. 1352, located west of Main Street (F.M. 423), south of Ridgepointe Drive, in the City of The Colony, Denton County, Texas (2004-SP005) subject to six (6) staff stipulations, Commissioner Wade; second Commissioner Miknlee. Motion carried 5-0. With no further business, the meeting adjourned at 7:05 p.m. -3-
