HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 880 ORIGINAL CITY OF THE COLONY, TEXAS ORDINANCE NO, ~L) AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF THE COLONY, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH FOR POOL SURFACE REFINISHING AT THE COLONY AQUATIC PARK; ATTACHING THE APPROVED FORM OF CONTRACT AS EXHIBIT "A"; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF THE COLONY, TEXAS: SECTION I. That the City Manager of the City of The Colony, Texas is hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the City a contract with for pool surface refinishing at The Colony Aquatic Park. The approved form of contract is attached hereto as Exhibit "A", and made a part hereof for such purposes. SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of The Colony, Texas. March 9, 1995 Patti A Hicks, City Secretary City of the Colony 5151 North Colony Blvd. The Colony, TX 75056 ADDENDUM TO CONTRACT # DATED 3/9/95 Bid # 51-95-01-POOL POOL SURFACE REFINISHING AT THE COLONY' AC~UATIC PARK Contractor shall provide equipment, labor and materials to perform the following: 1. Drain pool, remove hydrostatic plugs and/or drill holes to relieve any pressure from beneath the pool. 2. Cut existing plaster under the tile band, around all return fittings, lights and drain grates for seal lines. 3. Grind surface, repair voids and cracks. Chip and remove existing plaster not bonded to gunite. 4. R.eplace broken or damaged tiles. 5. Apply laminate coat to entire pool and steps, allow to cure. 6. Sand entire surface, make any needed repairs. 7. Apply fiberglass putty (made from fiberglass gel) to all seal lines encapsulating the edges of the fiberglass surface. 8. Apply final coat of fiberglass gel/resin to entire surface~ 9. Replace return fittings. 10. Pool to be filled w/water after 72 hour cure time and balanced w/chemicals after final inspection. Pg. 2 11. Contractor will be responsible for clean up and disposal of all trash end debris. Excess adhered matter, imperfections or stains will be removed from alt surfaces. 12. Upon completion and acceptance of the project, furnish the City of the Colony with a written guarantee. The FibreTech Dura Tech finish cantles a 25 Year Limited Factory Warranty against chipping, peeling, cracking or delaminating provided the structure remains sound.
