AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF THE COLONY, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH K-LAB;
FOR THE MOWING OF RESIDENTIAL YARDS; ATTACHING THE APPROVED
FORM OF CONTRACT AS EXHIBIT "A"; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
TExAsB:E IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF THE COLONY,
SECTION 1. That the City Manager of the City of The Colony, Texas is
hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the City a contract with K-Lab for the mowing
of RESIDENTIAL YARDS. The approved form of contract is attached hereto as Exhibit
"A", and made a part hereof for such purposes.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its
passage by the City Council of the City of The Colony, Texas.
DULY PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of The Colony,
Texas this 1st day of March, 19 93.

CITY OF THE COLONY, TEXAS
AGREEMENT
This agreement is entered into by the City of The Colony, Texas,
hereinafter referred to as the "City,,, and K-Lab , hereinafter
referred to as the "Contractor,,.
A. Contractor hereby agrees to provide materials and perform the
labor necessary for the completion of:
1. Mowing and trimming as required on residential property
within the City of the Colony, and as specified by The Colony
Inspections Department.
B. Contractor agrees to provide above named service as needed
for 26 weeks beginning April 1, 1993.
B. Contractor shall provide proof of insurance in accordance with
V.A.C.S. requirements.
C. Contractor agrees to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the
city from all damages, costs, expenses, and attorney fees for all
claims and suits including claims and suits for death, personal
injury, and property damage, arising out of, or connected with, the
work performed under this contract whether or not caused in whole
or in part by the negligence of the city, its agents, or employees.
D. All material is guaranteed to be as specified, and the above
work is to be Performed in accordance with the specifications
submitted for above work and completed in a substantial workmanlike
manner for the sum of:
_ Twenty-five dollars ($25.00) per mowinq
,with payments to be made as follows:
Invoices are to be presented to the City of The Colony by the
first (let) of each month, and shall be paid in accordance with the
financial procedures for the City of The Colony.
