That the City Manager of the City of The Colony, Texas is hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the City a contract with Uniforms of Texas for the purchase of uniforms. The approved form of contract is attached hereto as Exhibit "A", and made a part hereof for such purposes. SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of The Colony, Texas. WINDBREAKERS QUANTITY: COLOR: DESCRIPTION: PRICE: Black 100% Nylon Oxford Weave, 200 denier ~J''~ warp and filling. 4.5 ounce per yard. The jacket shall be a windbreaker style uniform jacket with a plain back and zipper front closure to the neck. The front shall be constructed of two pieces on each side reaching from the bottom of the jacket to the shoulder seam. These two pieces shall be joined with welt stitched seams. On each side of the jacket 4" up from the bottom there shall be elastic waistband snuggers. The inside facing of the jacket shall extend from the bottom of the jacket continuously around the neck to the bottom of the ether side in such a manner as to furnish sufficient curtain whereby a zip-in liner can be attached. The jacket shall be sewn using the serge-sew method. There shall be two side panel pockets each with a vertical opening of 6" and they shall extend inside the jacket for a depth of 5" on the angle. The openings shall be barracked at top and bottom for extra strength. There shall be two breast patch pockets with flaps. These pockets shall have a single pleat. The pockets shall measure approximately 5" x 6". The cuffs are to be pointed with two buttons for cuff adjustment. There shall be attached to the liner an interlining zipper double shrunk, center marked, interchangeable, and of sufficient length to be satisfactorily attached to the facing of a jacket. All sewing is to be done with polyester core thread or 100~ Spun Polyester thread. Each lining shall have a sewn in label giving care instructions and shall be marked with lot number, size, fiber content and WPL number. JACKET QUANTITY: COLOR: DESCRIPTION: PRICE: Outer Goods - 100% Nylon Satin, 4.5 Black ounce per sq. yard, Durable water repellant finish. Lining - Body, 1/4" and sleeves 3/16"polyfoam quilted to 70 denier Nylon Taffeta face and non-woven back. Collar - Borg's 1/2" Orlon pile. The jacket shall be tailored, UN~H~MS O~T~)(A8 full cut, waist length model with 5 11181 ~Hin$$ # 138 button front and shirred waistband. Coat D~as, Texas7$2~ construction throughout. The front shall ~X(~I~ ~4~-~38 be plain, with patch pockets, f%aps and ~1~ ~41-~20 badge tab. For shape retention~ the front shall be interlined with heavy weight Pellon. The inside facings shall be made of outer fabric and are to be sewn on top of the 1/4" Polyfoam which extends to the front edge of the jacket. The front buttonholes must be cut first tYPe. In addition to a § button front closure, there shall be a concealed heavy duty storm zipper. There shall be a one piece back. There is is to be a separate 2-1/2" waistband shirred with the exception of an area 5-1/2" on either side of the front opening. The waistband shall be closed with 2 - 24 ligne enameled heavy duty snaps. The shoulders shall have pads and sleeve heads. The 1/4" welt method shall be used throughout. There shall be two box pleated patch pockets, finishing approximately 6-1/4" x 7-1/4" with scalloped self lined flaps and snap fasteners at each corner. The flaps shall be interlined with adhesive type cushionaire. The pockets shall be inter- lined with poly/cotton twill in such a way as to create hand-warmer pockets with an opening of approximately 5-3/4" on the side. The left breast pockets is to have a pencil compartment with an opening at the top of the flap. Both the pockets and the flaps are to be bartacked. There is to be one inside cut-in pocket. The sleeves shall be coat style, set in with a single needle machine. The bottoms of the sleeves shall be interlined with a non- woven fabric of 100% polyester, and finished with a 9/16" strip of vinyl. Knit wristlets shall be sewn inside the bottom of the sleeves to the lining. The collar shall be made using Borg's 1/2" Orlon pile for the top collar, outer fabric for the under collar, and inter- lined with canvas. There shall be a storm flap made of outer goods. The badge tab shall be made of outer fabric, 1" wide with 2 metal eyelets spaced vertically 1" apart and is to UN~O~80FTEXAS centered approximately 2-1/2" above the left 11181HanTHines#138 pocket. There shall be a ~9 aluminum storm D~l--,Texas75229 zipper with automatic lock.
