COLLECTION OF SUCH FEES AND FOR CREDITING
THEREFORE UPON RECIEPT.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF THE COLONY, TEXAS:
Section 1. That Chapter 9, by adding Article IV establishing a policy read as follows:
Whereas, to operate a cost-effective, efficient emergency medical service it is necessary to revise
the established user fees
Section 2. That this ordinance shall determine that EMS will charge a basic fee for ambulance transportation of
$ 250.00 for resident and $350.00 for non-resident persons per incident, plus a fee of $7.00 per mile from the
incident location to the nearest medical facility that is able to care for the patient appropriately. Additional
charges, if incurred will be as follows:
1. A $ 50.00 fee for the administration of oxygen;
2. A $50.00 fee for use of 12 lead EKG.
3. A $50.00 fee for IV set-up
4. A $50.00 fee fo? Advanced Airway
5. A non-transpo~ fee of $50.00 will be assessed if supplies are used and the patient refuses
transport.
6. A fee for each medication administered to each patient which will be billed based on a price
schedule and may be reviewed and amended at thc beginning of the budget year.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be effec~v?rom and after its passage.
