MINUTES OF THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION MEETING
HELD ON JANUARY 27, 2004
The Regular Session of the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of The Colony,
Texas was called to order at 6:30 p.m. on the 27th day of January, 2004 at City Hall with
the following members present:
Bill Jamme, Chairman
Deville Hubbard
Marlene Milsak
Brian Wade
Kirk Mikulec
Absent:
Michael Barrett - Business
Bill Harrison - Business
Staff:
Harry Persaud, Director of Development Services
Chris Spencer, Planner
James Hanvey, Staff Engineer
David Dodd, City Attorney
Sandy Vondersaar, Administrative Assistant
With five (5) P & Z members present, a quorum was established and the following items
were addressed:
2.0 DISPOSITION OF MINUTES
2.1 Approval and/or correction of Planning and Zoning Commission Minutes for
the meeting held on January 13, 2004.
Motion to approve the minutes of the meeting held on January 13, 2004,
Commissioner Milsak; second, Commissioner Wade. Motion carried 5-0.
3.0 CITIZEN INPUT

4.0 ITEMS FOR CONSIDERATION
4.1 Consider a request for approval of a Site Plan for Lazerset, located on Lot
41R, Block 1, Garza Lake Estates, being a 0.413-acre tract situated in the G.
Emberlin Survey, Abstract No. 394, located on the west side of Elm Street,
south of the East Lake Highlands and north of Witt Road, in the City of The
Colony, Denton County, Texas. (2003-SP015)
Commissioner Wade recused himself due to conflict of interest.
Mr. Spencer presented the staff report regarding a request for approval of a Site Plan for
Lazerset on Lot 41R, Block 1, Garza Lake Estates located on the west side of Elm Street,
south of the East Lake Highlands and north of Witt.
Mr. DeWayne Snider, Architect, 4644 Freeman Drive, The Colony, Texas 75056, was
present to answer questions.
Staff recommends approval with four (4)stipulation.
The Commission made recommendations regarding the landscape plan. Mr. Snider
stated his client would agree to what is deemed necessary to satisfy the landscape
ordinance. --
A motion for approval of a Site Plan for Lazerset, located on Lot 41R, Block 1,
Garza Lake Estates, being a 0.413-acre tract sitnated in the G. Emberlin Survey,
Abstract No. 394, located on the west side of Elm Street, south of the East Lake
Highlands and north of Witt Road, in the City of The Colony, Denton Connty,
Texas. (2003-SP015) subject to four (4) staff stipulations and an alternate
landscape plan, Commissioner Hubbard; second Commissioner Milsak. Motion
carried 4-0.
With no further business, the meeting adjourned at 6:48 p.m.
