AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF THE COLONY, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR JAIL SERVICES WITH DENTON
COUNTY, TEXAS; ATTACHING THE APPROVED FORM OF THE CONTRACT AS EXHIBIT
"A"; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF THE COLONY,
TEXAS:
Section 1. That the Mayor of the City of The Colony, Texas,
is hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the City a contract for
jail services to be paid at a rate of $18 for a full day and $9 for 12
hours or less per each incarceration with Denton County, Texas. The
approved form of such contract is attached hereto as Exhibit "A", and
made a part hereof for such purposes.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect immediately
from and after its passage by the City Council.

COUNTY OF DENTON ~
It is hereby agreed between DENTON COUNTY and the
City of The Colony , Texas, that in return
(City/To,n)
for $18 for a full day and $9 for 12. hours or less, that Denton
County will receive and house those individuals who are charged
with municipal offenses in City o£ The Colony (City/Town)
The County will charge the City of The Colony
(City/Town)
for prisoners received each month, and the City will pay said
bill on or before 'the 15 day of the following month.
This agreement becomes effective December 1, 1981.
