AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF THE COLONY, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION
19-12 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF THE COLONY BY ADDING
SUBSECTION (G); PROHIBITING PARKING AT ANY TIME ON EITHER SIDE OF BLAIR
OAKS DRIVE FROM THE POINT OF ITS INTERSECTION WITH ARBOR GLEN ROAD
TO THE POINT OF ITS INTERSECTION WITH STATE HIGHWAY 17.1; PROVIDING FOR
THE ERECTION OF SIGNS; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY OF FINE NOT TO EXCEED
THE SUM OF TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS ($200.00) FOR EACH OFFENSE; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE 1T ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF THE COLONY,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That Section 19-12 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of The Colony, Texas,
be, and the same is hereby, amended by adding subsection (g) to establish a parking
ban in the areas set out below, to-wit:
"Section 19-12. Parking Requirements.
(a)...
(b)...
(c)...
(d)...
(e)...
(f)...
(g) ~$~shall be unlawful and a violation for any person to park a motor
vehicle on ~ny of the streets below during the hours specified, to-wit:

SECTION 2.
The parking ban set out herein shah not be effective or enforceable unless and
until appropriate signs or markings giving notice to motorists have been erected or
established at the location set out above.
SECTION 3.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed
guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction in the Municipal Court of the City of
The Colony, Texas, shall be fined in an amount not to exceed the sum of Two Hundred
Dollars ($200.00) for each offense.
SECTION 4.
This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage and the
publication of the caption as the law and charter in such cases provide.
