ORDINANCE NO
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF THE COLONY, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY
WITH FMC FOR TWO (2) 1250 GPM PUMPERS, MODEL VOL 1250, ATTACHING
THE APPROVED FORM OF THE CONTRACT AS EXHIBIT "A"' AUTHORIZING THE
PURCHASE BY PURCHASE ORDER OF FIRE APPARATUS EQUIPMENT FROM CASCO
INDUSTRIES, INC., EXCEPTING HOSE, ATTACHING APPROVED BID LIST AS
EXHIBIT "B"; AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGER TO PAY FOR TRUCKS AND
EQUIPMENT UPON DELIVERY: AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF THE COLONY
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager of the City of The Colony,
Texas, is hereby authorized to execute, on behalf of the City of
The Colony, a contract for the purchase of two (2) GPM Pumpers,
Model VOL 1250, the face amount of such general contract not to
exceed the sum of ONE HUNDRED FORTY EIGHT THOUSAND, SIX HUNDRED
EIGHTY SEVEN ($148,687.00) DOLLARS.
SECTION 2. The approved form of such contract is attached
hereto as Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof for all purposes.
SECTION 3. The City Manager of the City of The Colony, Texas,
is hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the City of The Colony
a purchase order in the amount of FOURTEEN THOUSAND, NINE HUNDRED
FORTY TWO ($14,942.00) DOLLARS for the purchase from Casco Industries,
Inc., the fire equipment as listed in Exhibit "B" and made a part
hereof for all purposes.
SECTION 4. The City Manager is hereby authorized to make payment
in the amount as specified in this ordinance for fire trucks and
equipment upon delivery of same.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and
after its passage and publication of the caption as the law and
charter in such cases provide.
