AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF THE COLONY~
TEXAS~ AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 31g ESTABLISHING
A YOUTH ADVISORY BOARD TO PARTICIPATE AND
ASSIST IN THE FORMULATION OF POLICIES AND IN
THE MAKING OF MA3OR DECISION THAT AFFECT THE
TOTAL COMMUNITY; DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF THE COLONY~ TEXAS:
Section 1. That Ordinance No. 315~ establishing a Youth Advisory Board to
participate and assist in the formulation ol policies and the making ot major decisions
that aitect the total community be amended by amending Subsection B. ot Section 4
relating to the terms o~ appointments o~ the Board, and that all other existing
sections~ subsections, paragraphs, definitions, words and phrases ot said Ordinance No.
318 are amended but shall remain intact and are hereby ratified~ verified and
affirmed:
A. That Subsection B ot Section t~ is hereby amended to read as follows:
"B. The original appointments shall be from February, 1985~ through
August, 1996, and all subsequent appointments shall be ~or one (1)
year terms d{ereatteG running from September until September."
Section 2. If any article, paragraph, sentence~ clause~ phrase or word in
this Ordinance or application thereto any person or circumstance is held invalid or
unconstitutional by a Court o~ competent jurisdiction such holding shall not affect
the validity ot the remaining portions of this Ordinance; and the City Council hereby
declares it would have passed such remaining portions of this Ordinance despite such
invalidity~ which remaining portions shall remain in tull ~orce and elfect.
