HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 79-15 RESOLUTION 79-15 WHEREAS, the City Council of The Colony has determined that it is in the best interest of the citizens of The Colony to establish a Reserve for Contingencies in the budget for the October 1, 1979 to September 30, 1980 fiscal year, WHEREAS, the tax rate proposed by this City Council is i9¢ per $I00 valuation, a prudent and fair tax increase, WHEREAS, the City Council is concerned that this reserve be used fairly and conservatively by the Municipal Government. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF THE COLONY, TEXAS Said Reserve for Contingencies in the amount of $60,891.~4 in the 1979/1980 Fiscal Budget shall be appropriated for City use only by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the City Council. This resolution shall be binding to the Council serving from April, 1979 to April, 1980, and shall not be binding to future Councils.
