DECLARATION OF PJESULTS OF ELECTION RESOLUTION 78-10
BE IT REMEMBERED that on the 15 day of August, 1978, at a meet-
ing of the City Council of the City of The Colony, Texas, a quorum being
present, the meeting was called to order and the following business was
transacted, to-wit:

~ ~1--~\~/~_~ , IT WAS UNANIMOUSLY ORDERED that the City
Council consider the official returns of an election held in the City on
August 12, 1978, to answer the proposition "Shall a conunission be chosen
to frame a new charter?" and for the election of 15 commissioners to serve
as members of the Charter Commission.
Whereupon said official returns were opened, examined, canvassed
and the results declared as follows:
That the following number of votes were cast on the proposition

It appearing that the proposition received 1~7 votes answer-
ing "yes" and 17 votes answering "no", it is hereby declared that
a majority of the qualified voters, voting on said question have voted in
the affirmative, and that the following 15 candidates, having received the
highest number of votes cast for office of Charter Commission, are hereby
declared to be elected to said office upon taking and swearing to the oath
therefor.
That this order declaring the results of the election called for
August 12, 1978, shall become effective immediately after its passage.
DULY PASSED by the City Council of the City of The Colony, Texas,
on the 15 day of August, 1978.
