HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 78-10 CANVASS OF RETURNS AND DECLARATION OF PJESULTS OF ELECTION RESOLUTION 78-10 BE IT REMEMBERED that on the 15 day of August, 1978, at a meet- ing of the City Council of the City of The Colony, Texas, a quorum being present, the meeting was called to order and the following business was transacted, to-wit: of L(~IT~ ~.~~ , and seconded by Upon motion ~ ~1--~\~/~_~ , IT WAS UNANIMOUSLY ORDERED that the City Council consider the official returns of an election held in the City on August 12, 1978, to answer the proposition "Shall a conunission be chosen to frame a new charter?" and for the election of 15 commissioners to serve as members of the Charter Commission. Whereupon said official returns were opened, examined, canvassed and the results declared as follows: That the following number of votes were cast on the proposition '~Shall a commission be chosen to frame~a new charter?" That this order declaring the results of the election called for August 12, 1978, shall become effective immediately after its passage.
