HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 82-06 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the City of The Colony is a rapidly growing community of 13,900 people in the southeast section of Denton County, and WHEREAS, there are no medical facilities in the City of The Colony, and WHEREAS, quality medical service is an essential requirement of community life, and WHEREAS, by a vote of the people on November 4, 1981, an ordinance was passed requiring that the City Council request proposals from hospitals to construct a facility within the city limits of The Colony. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of The Colony, Denton County, Texas, does hereby give its full support to in the Certificate of Need process before the Area V Health Systems Agency and also before the Texas Health Facilities Commission in an active pursuit of the construction and opening of a hospital facility in the City of The Colony, Texas.
