THURSDAY, APRIL 30th, 2026
After determining that a quorum was present, the Keep The Colony Beautiful Board of the City of The
Colony, Texas convened into a regular session that was held on Thursday, April 30, 2026 in the City
Council Chambers located in City Hall, 6058 Main Street, The Colony, Texas, at which time the
following items were addressed:
Board Members Present: Board Chairman Pam De Santiago, Board Secretary Jane Hughey, Lubna
Rizvi, Melanie Gray.
Board Members not Present: Board Vice Chairman Cody Carpenter, Jenna Nowlin, Michelle Potts
Staff Members Present: Danny Dill, Community Outreach Officer; Iris Browder, Community Image
Director
1.0 CALL TO ORDER
Meeting called to order at 6:00 p.m.
2.0 CITIZENS INPUT
None
3.0 MINUTES
3.1 Approve minutes from, March 26, 2026 meeting
Motion to approve the minutes made by board member Gray, second by board member Rizvi.
Motion carried 4-0.
4.0 DISCUSSION AND CONSIDERATION
4.1 DICUSS RAPTOR EVENT June 3, 2026.
1) Blackland Prairie will present the Raptor event,
2) It will be held at the City Hall Annex 6804 Main.
3) Will need help setting up for the event starting at 5:00pm.
4) Officer Dill will coordinate advertisement on city website.
4.2 Update Arbor Day Event, April 25, 2026
1) tabled until next meeting
4.3 UPDATE ON Multi -city Shoreline Clean Up Event, May 16, 2026
1) Per Parks and Ree request we are going to hold the multi -shore cleanup at City Hall (6053
Main). We will use the trail entrance on the west end of the parking lot and cleanup around the
loop of the trail. Parks says that this area gets the most trash and needs the most attention.
The links will reflect this change as well as the newsletter.
2) Details for distributing material for cleanup to be detailed later.
