CITY OF THE COLONY, TEXAS
RESOLUTION NO. 99-05
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF THE COLONY, TEXAS
AUTHORIZING PARTICIPATION IN THE GENERAL SERVICES
COMMISSION COOPERATIVE PURCHASING PROGRAM; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the General Services Commission is authorized to provide purchasing services
for local governments pursuant to TITLE I. SUBTITLE C. Chapter 271, Subchapter D. sections
271.082 and 271.083 of the Local Govemment Code; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of The Colony, Texas is a Local government
defined as an entity qualified to participate in the cooperative Purchasing Program of the General
Services Commission pursuant to section 271.081 of the Local Government Code; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the requirements of section 113.85(a) of the General
Services commission administrative rules, the Agents of Record, Robert Sparkman, Purchasing
Agent and Patti A. Hicks, City Secretary are authorized to execute any and all documentation for the
city of The Colony pertaining to its participation I the General Services commission Cooperative
Purchasing Program;
WHEREAS, The Colony acknowledges its obligation to pay participation fees established
by the General Services Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that request is made to the General Services
Commission to approve The Colony for participation in the General Services Commission
Cooperative Purchasing Program.
ADOPTED this 5th day of April 1999 by the City of The Colony, Texas.
