RESOLUTION NO. 2026-022
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF THE COLONY,
TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD A CONTRACT TO CI
PAVEMENT FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION OF 5,960 LINEAR FEET OF
STREETS AND ALLEYS THROUGHOUT THE CITY; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, That the City Council of the City of The Colony, Texas hereby
authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract with CI Pavement, for the reconstruction
of approximately 5,960 Linear Feet of street and alley as detailed below: 976 Linear Feet
of Sagers Blvd alley west of Squires Drive ending at Sagers Blvd; 1,191 Linear Feet east of
Squires Drive ending at Rice Drive; 1,250 Linear Feet of Baker Drive alley east of Pettit
Street ending at Perrin Street; 1,250 Linear Feet west from Pettit Street ending at Baker
Drive; and the 1,293 Linear Feet of the alley south of Younger Drive from Augusta Street
to Keys Drive; and
WHEREAS, with this contract, the City of The Colony is agreeing to the
services not to exceed the amount of $1,889,781.05.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF THE COLONY, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. The Contract, having been reviewed by the City Council of the City
of The Colony, Texas, and found to be acceptable and in the best interest of the City and its
citizens, be, and the same is hereby, in all things approved.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the contract on
behalf of the City of The Colony, Texas, with the terms and conditions stated therein.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its
adoption and it is so resolved.
