Motion carried 5-0. 4.0 DISCUSSION AND CONSIDERATION 4.1 Update on National Night Out event 1) Board member Nowlin and Board Vice Chairman Carpenter attended. Board member Nowlin stated that it was good exposure for our board. Interacted with Police, Librarians, Parents and children. 2) We were able to talk about the projects that our board does and distribute handouts about the projects. Definitely a good event to draw attention to the various events that we do. 4.2 Update on Howl and Prowl 1) Board member Rizvi and Board Secretary Hughey covered the event. We had close to 40 people attending. Those that were there interacted with Texas Master Naturalist Donna Cole. She led the group down the trail, stopping at various points to talk about signs of various animals. Attendees asked questions which she answered. 2) Suggestion for next year: start at earlier. The stated time to finish was 7:30. The interaction between Ms. Cole and the attendees caused the end time to be 8:30. That is a little late for some of the young ones that had to be up for school the next morning and left early. We might need to either meet our ending time or say approximate end time, so that people are aware it can last a little longer. 4.3 Finalize KTCB Fall Cleanup 1) We will be located at the Turner Field Complex from 9-11 am. 2) Board Vice Chairman Carpenter will pick up all supplies that Officer Dill will have available. 4.4 Finalize Christmas in TC Recycle Art Event 1) Board member Nowlin stated the date of the event is December 5-6. 2) Donations for prizes have been received from vendors and more are being solicited. Board member Rizvi has a master list of what we have received. 3) Last year's judges, City Council Member Judy Ensweiler and a Republic Company representative, have been contacted and will be participating again. City Council Member Marks will also be able to participate. 5.0 Adjournment Meeting adjourned at 6:16 p.m. J Pamela De Santiago, Chairman Jane Hughey, Secretary Danny Dill, Recording Secretary
