OF THE VETERANS ADVISORY COMMITTEE
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 129 2025
The Regular Session of The Veterans Advisory Committee of the City of The Colony, Texas was
called to order at 6:02 PM on the 12th day of March 2025 at City Hall, 6800 Main Street, The
Colony, Texas, with the following roll call:

Mary Garcia, Vice Chairman
Present
Chrystie Gibbs
Recording Secretary
Allen Harris, Board Member
Present

Randy Dull, Board Member

And with five board members present, a quorum
was established and the following items were
addressed:
1.0 ROUTINE ANNOUNCEMENTS
1.1 Call to order
The meeting was called to order at 6: 02pm.
1.2 Pledge of Allegiance to the United States Flag
1.3 Salute to the Texas flag
1.4 General Announcements
2.o CITIZEN INPUT
None.
3.0 CONSENT AGENDA
3.1 Consider approval of minutes of the May 29, 2024 regular session
Motion to approve — Harris — Second — Dull; passes with all ayes.
4.0 REGULAR AGENDA ITEMS
4.1 Discuss and approve mission statement
Mission statement was discussed.
Motion to approve — Harris — Second — Dull; passes with all ayes.
4.2 Discuss and approve questions for Veteran's survey
Survey questions were discussed. Klein and Garcia will compile questions for
survey and send to Rainey for Mayor approval.
Motion to approve — Dull — Second — Bourbon; passes with all ayes.
4.3 Board to request items to be placed on a future agenda.
Review preliminary survey data and discuss committee next steps.
Discuss future Veteran related events and how the committee can be involved.
5.0 ADJOURNMENT
With there being no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 7:06pm.
