A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF THE COLONY, TEXAS SUPPORTING NON-OPTIONAL EXTENDED AREA CALLING; DESIGNATING A REPRESENTATIVE; AUTHORIZING A JOINT AGREEMENT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of The Colony, Texas, fully supports a petition or petitions for the non-optional extended area service ("EAS') as set forth in the proposed joint agreement presented to their Council; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of The Colony, Texas, strongly urges the Public Utility Commission to approve the joint agreement; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of The Colony, Texas, designates Denton County Commissioner Jeff Krueger to represent the City of The Colony, Texas, in proceedings regarding joint filing(s) to the Public Utility Commission of the State of Texas, for non-optional EAS and to execute such joint agreements(s) and joint filing(s), as necessary, as the designated representative; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE COLONY, TEXAS: Section I. That on June 16, 1997, the City Council of the City of The Colony, Texas, adopted an official Resolution supporting Southwestern Bell Telephone Company's petition to the Public Utility Commission for the non-optional extended area service.
