COLONY, TEXAS, DIRECTING PUBLICATION OF NOTICE OF

WHEREAS, this City Council deems it advisable to give notice of intention to issue revenue
bonds of the City of The Colony, Texas, as hereinafter provided; and
WHEREAS, it is officially found and determined that the meeting at which this resolution has
been considered and acted upon was open to the public and public notice of the time, place and
subject of said meeting was ~ven, all as required by Tex. Gov't Code Ann. ch. 551; Now, Therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF THE COLONY:
Section 1. FORM OF NOTICE. Attached hereto is a form of Notice of Intention to Issue
Revenue Bonds, the form and substance of which are hereby adopted and approved.
Section 2. PUBLICATION OF NOTICE. Said Notice shall be published, in substantially the
form attached hereto, in a newspaper, as defined in Tex. Gov't Code Ann. §2051.044, of general
circulation in the area said City, once a week for two consecutive weeks, the date of the first
publication thereof to be before the 14th day before the date tentatively set for passage of the
ordinance authorizing the issuance of such bonds.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO ISSUE REVENUE BONDS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of The Colony, Texas,
tentatively proposes to authorize the issuance of interest bearing revenue bonds of said City in total
maximum principal amount not to exceed $3,150,000, in one or more series, for the public purpose
of acquiring, constructing and installing additions, improvements and extensions to the City's
waterworks and sewer system and to fund all or a portion of the reserve fund requirement relating
to such bonds, at its meeting to commence at 7:30 P.M. on January 19, 1998, at its regular meeting
place in the City Hall, 5151 North Colony Boulevard, The Colony, Texas. Such revenue bonds shall
be payable fi.om a lien on and pledge of the net revenues to be derived fi.om the operation of the City's
combined waterworks and sewer system, shall mature serially or otherwise not more than 40 years
fi.om their date, and shall bear interest at such rate or rates not to exceed 15% per annum, as shall be
set forth in the ordinance or ordinances authorizing such revenue bonds.
