HomeMy WebLinkAbout04/27/2023KEEP THE COLONY BEAUTIFUL BOARD MEETING MINUTES THURSDAY, APRIL 27TH , 2023 After determining that a quorum was present, the Keep The Colony Beautiful Board of the City of The Colony, Texas convened into a regular session that was held on Thursday, April 27cn , 2023 at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers located in City Hall, 6800 Main Street, The Colony, Texas, at which time the following items were addressed: Board Members Present: Christopher Benson; Cris Luce; Jenna Nowlin; Pam De Santiago; Lubna Rizvi; Jane Hughey Board Members not Present: Cody Carpenter Staff Members Present: Danny Dill, Community Outreach Officer; 1.0 CALL TO ORDER Meeting called to order at 6:05 p.m. 2.0 CITIZENS INPUT None. 3.0 1 MINUTES 3.1 Approve Minutes from March 2311, 2023 meeting. Motion to approve the minutes made by board member De Santiago and seconded by board member Nowlin. Motion carried 6-0. 4.0 1 DISCUSSION AND CONSIDERATION 4.1 Discuss outcome of KTCB Spring Community Cleanup. (Nowlin) Board member Nowlin gave an update on the details of outcome of the Community spring cleanup. The event went very good and had a lot of positive feedback. Ideas to generate more volunteers by better communication, keep metrics on bags of trash collected and number of volunteer's were discussed. The after celebration lunch was a big hit. 4.2 Receive briefing on windshield survey and provide assignments. (Dill) Officer Dill gave out maps that divided the city into 3 zones. He explained the map and asked board members to pair up and select an area to take. Board members chose areas, paired up and will do the surveys and return them to Officer Dill by 5/16. 4.3 Board to provide direction to staff regarding future agenda items. The board requested to discuss fall dates for community clean up, possible new benefactor for can food drive (love packs), youth advisor council information. Discuss (vision) objectives for KTCB. 5.0 1 ADJOURNMENT Meeting adjourned at 6:50 p.m. Christopher Ben on, Chairm n - L2, Danny Dill, Re ding Secretary
