RESOLUTION NO. ~?&- ~l
AN RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF THE COLONY, TEXAS PROVIDING FOR
A PUBLIC HEARING ON AMENDMENTS TO THE LAND USE ASSUMPTIONS;
PROVIDING A TIME AND PLACE FOR SAID PUBLIC HEARING, TO-WIT: ON
THE 16TH DAY OF DECEMBER, 1996, AT 7:30 O'CLOCK P.M. AT THE COLONY
CITY HALL; PROVIDING FOR NOTICE; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF THE'COLONY, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of The Colony, Texas finds that it is in
the best interests of the citizens of The Colony to call a public hearing on proposed
amendments to the Land Use Assumptions.
Section 2. That in order to provide for a Public Hearing on such budget, the City
Council of the City hereby declares that said heating shall take place on the 16th day of
December, 1996, at 7:30 p.m. at the City Hall, which said date is within sixty (60) days after
the date said updates to the land use assumptions were received by the governing body..
Section 3. That public notice shall be published once a week for three consecutive
weeks, the first notice to appear before the 30th day but on or after the 60th day before
the date set for the heating.
Section 4. That Notice of such heating shall be sent by means of certified mail
to those requesting such notice, no later than 30 days prior to the public hearing.
Section 5. The necessity for holding a Public Hearing on the amendments to the land
use assumptions by the laws of the State of Texas, requires that this resolution shall take
effect immediately from and after its passage, as the law in such cases provides.
DULY PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of The Colony,
Texas on this 4th day of November. 96.
