RESOLUTION DIRECTING PUBLICATION OF NOTICE
OF INTENTION TO ISSUE REVENUE BONDS
WHEREAS, this City Council deems it advisable to give notice of intention to issue revenue bonds
of the City of The Colony, Texas, as hereinafter provided; and
WHEREAS, it is officially found and determined that the meeting at which this resolution has been
considered and acted upon was open to the public and public notice of the time, place and subject of said
meeting was given, all as required by Chap. 551, Texas Government Code; Now, Therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF THE COLONY:
Section 1. FORM OF NOTICE. Attached hereto is a form of Notice of Intention to Issue Revenue
Bonds, the form and substance of which are hereby adopted and approved.
~ PUBLICATION OF NOTICE. Said Notice shall be published, in substantially the form
attached hereto, in a newspaper, as defined in Section 2051.044, Texas Government Code, of general
circulation in the area said City, once a week for two consecutive weeks, the date of the first publication
thereof to be at least fourteen (14) days prior to the date tentatively set for passage of the ordinance
authorizing the issuance of such bonds.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO I.~UE REVENUE BOND.~
NOTICE IS HER~tlY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of The Colony, Texas, intends to
adopt, at its meeting to commence at 7:30 P.M. on September 18, 1995, at the regular meeting place of said
City Council at the City Hall, 5151 North Colony Boulevard, The Colony, Texas, an ordinance authorizing
the issuance of interest bearing revenue bonds of said City in the maximum principal amount of $1,000,000,
for the purpose of the construction, acquisition and installation of additions, improvements and extensions
to the City's existing waterworks and sewer system. Such bonds will be secured by and payable from a lien
on and pledge of the net revenues to be derived from the operation of the City's combined waterworks and
sewer system, will mature serially or otherwise not more than 40 years from their date, and will bear interest
at such rate or rates not to exceed 15 % per :~nmlm, as shall be set forth in the ordinance authorizing the
issuance of such bonds.
THIS NOTICE is given in accordance with law and as directed by the City Council of the City of
The Colony, Texas.

CERTIFICATE FOR RESOLUTION
I, the undersigned City Secretary of the City of The Colony, Texas, hereby certify as follows:
1. The City Council of said City convened in Regular Session on August 21, 1995, at the regular
meeting place thereof, and the roll was called of the duly constituted officers and members of said City
Council, to-wit:
William W. Manning, Mayor
John Dillard, Mayor Pro Tern
Robert Burchard, Deputy Mayor Pro Tern
Mar~ Blair Watts, Council Member
Kay Hardin, Council Member
William Longo, Council Member
G. David Heiman, Council Member

constituting a quorum. Whereupon, among other business, the foll~w~,,s.as transacted at said meeting:
a written Resolution entitled RESOLUTION DIRECTING PUBLICATION OF NOTICE OF INTENT TO
ISSUE REVENUE BONDS was duly introduced for consideration of said City Council and read in full. It
was then duly moved and seconded that said Resolution be passed; and, after due discussion, said motion,
carrying with it the passage of said Resolution, prevailed and carried by the following vote:

2. A true, full and correct copy of the aforesaid Resolution passed at the meeting described in the above
and foregoing paragraph is attached to and follows this Certificate; said Resolution has been duly recorded
in the official minutes of said City Council; the above and foregoing paragraph is a true and correct excerpt
from said minutes of said meeting pertaining to the passage of said Resolution; the persons named in the
above and foregoing paragraph, at the time of said meeting and the passage of said Resolution, were the duly
chosen, qualified and acting officers and members of said City Council as indicated therein; each of said
officers and members was duly and sufficiently notified officially and personally in advance, of the time,
place and purpose of the aforesaid meeting and that said Resolution would be introduced and considered for
passage at said meeting, and each of said officers and members consented in advance to the holding of said
meeting for such purpose; and said meeting was open to the public, and public notice of the time, place and
purpose of said meeting was given, all as required by Chap. 551, Texas Government Code.
