RESOLUTION NO. 9¢-o/:3
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF THE
COLONY, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING PARTICIPATION IN THE DENTON
COUNTY DRUG TASK FORCE; PI.EDGING PAYMENT OF THE
LOCAL SHARE OF THE COST OF THIS PROGRAM; AND
DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the Denton County Sheriff's Office has formulated a county wide Drug
Task Force; and
WHEREAS, the City of The Colony recognizes a need for such a task force and
wishes to join the Task Force by providing full time participation; and
WHEREAS, funding for this program is made available by the Criminal Justice
Division and is jointly shared by Denton County and other participating entities; and
WHEREAS, the City of The Colony pledges its proportionate share of the cost of
this project, as required; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE rr RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF THE COLONY, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the Police Chief is hereby Authorized and directed to submit an
application to the proper authorities for participation in the Denton County Drug Task
Force.
SECTION 2. That the City of The Colony pledges its proportionate share of the cost of this
project, as required, if application is approved.
SECTION 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its passage.
