HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 94-25 ORIGII A CITY OF THE COLONY, TEXAS l SO,. o WHEREAS, there are countless Americans throughout our bountiful country that are without the most basic needs; and WHEREAS, USA TODAY and WEEKEND newspaper through the Points of Light Foundation are focusing national attention on these needs; and WHEREAS, Americans throughout the country will participate in events to assist the less fortunate in order to "Make a Difference" in their lives; and WHEREAS, the citizens of The Colony desire to join with their fellow Americans in "Making a Difference". NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of The Colony, Texas decrees that the fourth week of October, 1994, be set aside to help those less fortunate. Citizens are encouraged to place needed items (used coats and blankets, canned goods, etc.) in "Drop Boxes" located for that purpose throughout the community at city halls, businesses, churches, schools and other locations where people gather.
