HomeMy WebLinkAbout10/25/1993 City Council0049'70 MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON OCTOBER 25, 1993 The Special Session of the City Council of the City of The Colony, Texas was called to order at 7:00 p.m. on the 25th day of October, 1993 at City Hall with the following Council roll call: William W. Manning, Mayor Present Mike Lynch, Councilman Present Toby Pollard, Councilman Present Joe Agnew, Councilman Present Tom Bogan, Councilman Absent John Dillard, Councilman Absent Joel Marks, Mayor Pro-tem Present and with five present, a quorum was established and the following items were addressed: 1. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE 2. EXECUTIVE SESSION AS AUTHORIZED BY SECTION 551.074 OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT CODE REGARDING PERSONNEL, TO-WIT A. INTERVIEW FOR MUNICIPAL COURT JUDGE 7:06 p.m. Council went into Executive Session 9:27 p.m. Council reconvened into open session and addressed the following item. 3. CONSIDERATION OF ANY ACTION TO BE TAKEN AS A RESULT OF THE EXECUTIVE SESSION Motion to appoint Paul Stuckle to serve as Municipal Court Judge pending his acceptance of the contract - Agnew; second - Lynch. Councilman Marks stated that compensation needs to be included in the motion. Motion amended to include compensation of $1000.00 per month - Agnew; second to amendment - Lynch. Discussion regarding the items to be included in the contract. The City Attorney will review and prepare the final document. Motion to appoint by acclamation - Agnew; second - Lynch. All Ayes.
